Who we are and what we actually do
A small, specialist consultancy with deep roots in the Garissa property market.
Historyroutex was founded in Garissa in 2016 by a team of property professionals who noticed a consistent gap in the regional market: owners of significant assets — commercial plots, residential blocks, agricultural parcels on the Tana River corridor — had no reliable, locally based service that could handle transactions with genuine discretion. National agencies parachuted in staff who didn't know a Garissa County lease from a Nairobi one, and international platforms were simply irrelevant at this scale. We set up as a boutique practice, deliberately staying small so that every client file is handled by a senior consultant, not passed down a chain. Today the firm covers property sales, rentals, valuations, and strategic consulting across Garissa County and adjacent districts, with a client register that includes individual landowners, family estate trustees, and institutional buyers active in North-Eastern Kenya. We have closed over 140 transactions since inception, and our repeat and referral rate exceeds 70% — figures we prefer to mention once rather than splash across every page.

Every engagement starts with a confidential briefing — in person in Garissa or by secure call if you're based elsewhere in Kenya or in the diaspora. From that briefing we produce a written scope of service that names the consultant responsible, the deliverables, the timeline, and the fee. No verbal agreements, no surprises on invoice. Our amber-gold working philosophy means we invest time in understanding the asset and the person, not just the transaction number. We do not take on every instruction: if a property has unresolved title issues we cannot independently verify, we decline rather than proceed and create liability for you. We do not offer legal or tax advice — those roles belong to your advocate and your accountant, and we'll tell you plainly when a question has crossed into that territory. Results depend on market conditions that neither we nor any other firm in Kenya can fully control; what we control is the quality of our process, the accuracy of our documentation, and the speed of our communication. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every file.
